BMS

In BMS (Battery Management System), the core function of humidity sensors is to capture real-time changes in humidity inside the battery pack, and their monitoring data is directly related to battery safety and lifespan. When the humidity exceeds the standard, it will accelerate the corrosion of the internal electrodes of the battery, the decomposition of the electrolyte, and thus cause capacity decay and internal resistance increase, ultimately leading to battery aging or failure. Therefore, strict humidity thresholds are usually set for battery packs in the industry (such as most power battery packs requiring internal relative humidity to be below 60%). Once the sensor detects that the humidity exceeds the limit, the BMS will immediately trigger an alert and even activate protection mechanisms (such as cutting off charging and limiting discharging) to avoid safety risks.
