3 . Description
GXI340 is a high and low side voltage, current, and power consumption monitoring chip. The 16 bit ADC integrated inside the chip continuously measures the bus voltage VBUS and the voltage division value VSHUNT of the high/low side resistance RSHUNT on the bus, and calculates the current flowing through the bus and the power consumption generated on the bus based on this. The bus voltage range that GXI340 can measure is 0~40V. GXI340 can directly output current measurement results in amperes (A) and power measurement results in watts (W), greatly reducing the subsequent data processing of the host.  
The power supply voltage range of GXI340 is 2.7~5.5V, and the typical current power consumption during normal operation is 300 μ A. The typical operating temperature range of GXI340 is -40 ℃~+125 ℃. The GXI340 is compatible with standard I2C interfaces for communication as low as 1.6V and has 16 programmable slave addresses. GXI340 offers a 10 PIN MSOP packaging format.  
GXI340 supports measuring only the bus voltage VBUS or the high and low side resistance voltage division VSHUNT, with a minimum single conversion time of only 140 μ s. GXI340 can provide average output to achieve more accurate measurement results. The ALERT pin and programmable alarm threshold of GXI340 can provide real-time protection for other devices on the bus in various usage scenarios.
