Description 
GX28E01 combines 1024 bit EEPROM with query response authentication security using ISO/IEC 10118-3 Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-1). This chip can handle 64 bit and 320 bit SHA-1 input block keys, as well as 64 bit random challenges and additional chip data, to provide a high degree of authentication security between the host system and the slave. The 1024 bit EEPROM array configuration is divided into 4 pages of 256 bits, with a 64 bit register to perform write operations. All memory pages can be set to write protected, and one page can be placed in EEPROM emulation mode (can only change from 1 state to 0 state). Each GX28E01 has its own 64 bit ROM registration code engraved by the factory. GX28E01 communicates through a 1-Wire bus with a single contact point. Communication follows the standard 1-Wire protocol, and in a multi device 1-Wire network, the registration number serves as the node address.
