3. Description
GXA543 is a 2-channel bidirectional data transmission switch chip controlled by I2C bus. The upstream host selects one or more downstream slaves through the SCL and SDA pins of the chip and performs specified data transmission. GXA543 supports selecting any combination of downstream channel slaves.
GXA543 provides 2 interrupt input pins INTX for transmitting low effective interrupt signals of corresponding channels; The chip also provides an INT interrupt output pin, which outputs the AND result of each INTX pin mentioned above.
GXA543 provides a low effective reset pin RESET. If the I2C bus of a downstream slave is locked, the RESET pin can be pulled low to reset GXA543, so as not to select the downstream slave and release the locked I2C bus.
GXA543 allows upstream hosts and downstream slaves to perform cross voltage domain data transmission. At this point, the power supply voltage VCC of GXA543 limits the minimum voltage VPASS allowed for upstream and downstream transmission. This function enables data exchange between upstream and downstream devices in the voltage domains of 1.8V, 3.3V, and 5.0V without the need for additional protection. When using this function, it is necessary to ensure that the I2C buses of each upstream and downstream channel are connected to their respective power supply voltages through pull-up resistors RP. The withstand voltage value of all pins of GXA543 is 5.5V.
